outside reading post # 2

A clockwork orange by anthony burgess

I've been reading the book A clockwork orange by anthony burgess. The book is about a not too distant future in which a boy named Alex and his three friends take over the streets at night in their gang. The book is mostly about good and evil and how at night the streets run wild with gangs and crime. Later on Alex's gang crosses him and leave him for the police. Alex ends up getting sentenced to 14 years in prison for accidently killing a woman when burglarizing her home. After a week or so there's talk among the prison inmates of an experiment where you can be cured of all your evil ways. However the experiment isn't perfected. Alex shows the warden he is the perfect subject and undergoes the slowly painful and horrible treatment. In which he is strapped in and they have a machine that fixes his eyes on a movie screen, so he cannot look away. He is then injected with a chemical that makes him sick to his stomach. On the screen it plays everything from sex and mass killings, basically anything bad. Alex  begins to be being affected by this treatment. After 2 years of the same treatment everyday he is released unable to do the things he loves which including fighting sex and committing crimes......

You've got some thorough responses here, but it looks like you're behind in terms of number of posts. Although they will be late, please complete the blogs that you have missed--this can be something to do over MEA. Your responses are thoughtful.
