Today I read a ridiculous article about a woman in Florida who choose to go to jail rather than pay for a $7.45 bill! Yeah I know sounds crazy right, well yeah it is and its true. Her name is Maryanne O'nieil and shes a 66 year old Florida resident of Fort Pierce who is completely nuts. She went into a waffle house and ordered a sandwich and coffee and then refused to the $7 and .45cent bill. When she refused to pay the bill a police officer said pay or go to jail and she chose jail. She had to stay for a few days but then was released and was charged with obtaining food with intent to defraud which is a misdemeanor and if had been a bigger amount of money she could have had a $500 fine. Or she would have had to spend 60 days in jail. I think that old lady is nuts and stupid for choosing jail. haha
